Call for Abstracts for the 2018 Annual Conference Now Open | Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB)

SNEB invites you to submit abstracts for presentation at the 2018 Annual Conference in Minneapolis, MN, July 21 – July 24. The first deadline for submission is January 15, 2018.

SNEB is interested in abstracts about research, and/or programs that relate to behavior change and food choice. Abstracts related to this year’s conference theme, Optimizing Impact: Supporting Food Systems with Nutrition Education, are also encouraged. The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) category is included again this year. Abstracts must be no more than 300 words and must follow the specific abstract guidelines.

Presentation Formats

Oral: Papers centered on common topics will be selected for group oral presentation, each about 10 minutes. Oral format is only available to submissions made by the January 15, 2018 deadline.

Poster: Poster presentations allow presenters to discuss their abstract briefly with interested colleagues in an informal setting. All submissions between January 15 and late breaking deadline of March 1 will be considered for poster presentations.

All abstracts will be blinded and peer reviewed according to specific criteria. Authors will receive feedback based on a standardized evaluation form with an opportunity to resubmit if requested by reviewers.  All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplemental issue of the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior for the Annual Conference.

First Deadline:
Submitted by 11:59 PM EST on January 15, 2018. A $25 fee will be charged for each abstract submission.

Late Breaking Research: 
The purpose of late breaking abstracts is to accommodate abstracts with results not available before the regular submission deadline. Abstracts that are submitted without results as late breaking abstracts will not be accepted. Abstracts submitted between January 16, at 12:01 AM EST and March 1, 2018  at 11:59 PM EST will be considered late breaking. A $50 fee will be charged for each late breaking abstract submission.
