Cannabis, appetite, and overall health - how much do we know? This session will describe trends of cannabis consumption, cannabis food products, product food safety, and various laws that regulate recreational and medical cannabis use.  Come hear a live dialogue with two experts who actively engage in cannabis-related work: one in nutrition education, the other in policy research regarding recreational and medical cannabis use.  Join us with your questions or to share your experiences with cannabis education and discuss opportunities to adapt nutrition education to better support our clients who consume cannabis.

Camille Gourdet

Camille Gourdet, JD, MA is a researcher at RTI International. She has published several peer-reviewed manuscripts on cannabis policy and has presented on trends in cannabis policy at several national and international conferences.

Kelay Trentham

Kelay Trentham, dietitian and Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition, works in cancer care. She has authored two chapters and given many presentations about cannabinoid use in oncology and palliative care.
