The Nutrition Education for Children Division promotes communication, cooperation, and exchange of ideas among SNEB members and practitioners interested in nutrition education for children and who provide and/or develop nutrition education materials and programs for children. Our goals are to link nutrition educators, researchers, and practitioners to one another to help improve research, education, and practice. To reach these goals, our division works extensively with SNEB leadership and SNEB divisions to promote skill building, information sharing, advocacy, and communication.
Children’s Division Board Positions
Please consider serving in one of the positions open on the Children’s Division board. Both require low commitments of time and are a great way to become involved with the Children’s Division and SNEB. - Fund Raising Committee: This role assists in identifying and contacting external funding sources for SNEB and annual conference; involves monthly conference calls with SNEB Fund Raising Committee.
- Issues & Resolutions: This role serves in a limited capacity via conference calls with activity primarily in the Spring if a resolution has been submitted by 4/1 deadline.
- Advisory Committee on Public Policy: This role assists as the Division’s representative in non-voting and advisory member to the committee. Invited to monthly conference calls addressing public policy issues.
- Communications Chair: This role is geared to learn about the Division by assisting the Chair and Chair-elect in all communications to the Division which includes emails, social media and newsletter support. It is encouraged that anyone that serve in this role seriously consider a three year commitment that result in serving as Chair one day.
