Support Funding for the Food Stamps Program (9/6/05) Congressional leaders have postponed the deadline for the House and Senate Agriculture Committees to pass budget reconciliation legislation due to the circumstances surrounding Hurricane Katrina.  The original deadline of September 16 has been delayed until October (date to be determined).
